Our Papers & Print Quality

The Art of the Substrate

Why the paper we print on matters as much as the image itself

Every Raw Oz Images print begins in the field — in the heat, the dust, and the silence of the Australian wilderness. But the journey from RAW file to wall-ready artwork doesn't end at the shutter. The substrate we print on is the final creative decision, and we take it seriously.

We print exclusively on Hahnemühle fine art papers — the global benchmark for archival inkjet printing — using professional pigment inks rated to last 100+ years without fading. Below are the five substrates we offer, each chosen for a specific aesthetic and purpose.

Made from 70% bagasse fibres — a by-product of sugar cane processing — this matt fine art paper has a clearly defined felt structure and a tactile warmth that makes prints feel genuinely handcrafted. No optical brighteners. A natural warm tone that brings out the soul in monochrome and warm-palette images. Acid- and lignin-free.
